Elly Rubin, Museum of Fine Arts Coordinator of Access from 1978 - 2002, recently had an artists' book she created acquired by the Boston Athenæum.  "Blind: Seeking Refuge 1937" is about Elly's uncle Joseph Levi, a blind pianist and composer who immigrated to America from Germany in 1937.

The Boston Athenæum is a membership library that first opened its doors in 1807.  It has more than 600,000 titles in its collection which includes maps, manuscripts, rare books, and archival materials.  Elly's book will reside in the Athenæum's collection of one-of-a kind books by contemporary artists.
