The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts announced its commitment to provide American Sign Language interpreters as one of its many new initiatives.  The theatre already offers assistive listening devices which are available at the box office for any performance.  In addition, the theatre will also provide two ASL interpreters during each Sunday evening performance in its Broadway Series, starting Sunday, September 30.

A limited number of seats will be available for the following ASL interpreted performances, each at 6:30pm:

"Mary Poppins" - Sunday, September 30

"West Side Story" - Sunday, December 30

"American Idiot" - Sunday, February 3

"Experience The Beatles with Rain" - Sunday, March 3

"Les Miserables" - Sunday, April 7

"The Addams Family" - Sunday, June 9

The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts, located in downtown Worcester, is recognized by Pollstar as one of the Top 50 Theatres in the World.  After undergoing many name changes and renovations over the decades since its 1926 birth, The Hanover Theatre reopened in March 2008 following a $32 million historic restoration.  Since then, the theatre has established its place as a rich entertainment and cultural venue, winning numerous awards, including The National Trust for Historic Preservation Award in 2010.  Now in its fifth season, The Hanover Theatre continues to expose over 170,000 annual patrons to world-class entertainment.
